Use this skill whenever you say "run AEO research," "AEO cluster research," "find keyphrases for [topic]," "research this topic for AEO," "AEO research on [topic]," or any variation of wanting to discover and validate keyphrases for a new content topic. Also trigger when you want to open a new content cluster, expand into a new topic area, or need keyphrases before writing AEO blog posts on a subject you have not covered yet. This skill is the bridge between "I want to write about this" and having validated keyphrases to write against. --- # AEO Cluster Research: Research Prompt Generator Generate a ready-to-paste research prompt for AEO keyphrase research on any topic. You copy the output, paste it into a deep research tool, and get back validated keyphrases you can write against. AEO means Answer Engine Optimization. The goal is getting your content cited by ChatGPT, Perplexity, and AI search when people ask questions in your topic area. This skill produces the research prompt that finds the real, conversational phrases people are searching so you write against genuine demand. ## Trigger Phrases - "run AEO research" - "AEO cluster research" - "find keyphrases for [topic]" - "research this topic for AEO" - "AEO research on [topic]" ## Workflow ### Step 1: Get the Topic If the topic is clear from the conversation, go to Step 2. If not, ask: > What topic do you want to research keyphrases for? ### Step 2: Generate the Prompt Present the following prompt with the topic filled in. Use a clean, copyable format so it pastes cleanly into a deep research tool (Manus, ChatGPT deep research, Perplexity, or whichever you use). --- **RESEARCH PROMPT. Copy and paste into a deep research tool (Manus, ChatGPT deep research, Perplexity, or whichever you use):** --- Run AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) keyphrase research for the following topic cluster. **Topic:** [TOPIC] **What I need:** **1. The top 25 keyphrases real people are searching related to this topic.** Check these sources: Google People Also Ask, Google autocomplete, Reddit (relevant subreddits), Quora, Perplexity suggested follow-up questions, and LinkedIn discussions. Frame every keyphrase as a conversational question, the way someone would ask an AI assistant like ChatGPT or Perplexity. **2. For each keyphrase, return these fields in a table:** | Column | Description | |---|---| | Blog Post Title | A ready-to-publish title targeting this keyphrase | | Keyphrase | The conversational search phrase | | Priority Score | 1-10 based on search demand x competition level | | Search Demand | HIGH / MEDIUM / LOW based on Google PAA frequency, Reddit thread activity, Perplexity follow-up patterns | | Competition | HIGH / MEDIUM / LOW. Note whether results are dominated by enterprise/corporate content, agencies, SaaS tools, or individual creators | | Content Cluster | Group name for related keyphrases | | Pillar or Supporting | Is this a pillar post (main authority piece) or a supporting post (H2 candidate or smaller standalone) | | Story Angle | One sentence describing what a founder-operator perspective would add that is missing from current results | **3. Organize into clusters.** Group the 25 keyphrases into 3-5 content clusters. For each cluster, identify which keyphrase is the pillar post and which are supporting. Show which supporting keyphrases would work as H2 headings inside the pillar post versus standalone articles. **4. Competitive gap summary for the top 5 keyphrases.** For each: who currently ranks, what type of content it is (enterprise guide, SaaS blog, agency post, listicle, individual creator), and specifically what perspective or angle is missing from the current results. **Format:** Return the 25 keyphrases as a single table with the columns above. Then the cluster groupings. Then the competitive gaps. No analysis paragraphs. Just the data. --- ### Step 3: Hand It Off After presenting the prompt, say: > Copy this into your research tool. It should return in 5-10 minutes. Bring the results back here when you are ready to add them to wherever you track your keyphrases or start writing. Done.
From then on, just name a topic and say "Run AEO research."

AEO Research hands you a complete, copy-ready research prompt with your topic filled in. Paste it into your research tool, and this is what it's built to bring back:
1 · The Top 25 Keyphrases
Real conversational questions people are asking about your topic — pulled from Google's People Also Ask, autocomplete, Reddit, Quora, Perplexity follow-ups, and LinkedIn discussions, phrased the way someone talks to an AI assistant.
2 · An Eight-Column Table
Every keyphrase arrives with a ready-to-publish blog title, a 1-to-10 priority score, its search demand, its competition level and who dominates it, its cluster, and whether it's a pillar or supporting post.
3 · The Story Angle Column
For each phrase, one sentence on what a founder-operator perspective would add that current results are missing — so every post starts with an edge, not an echo.
4 · Clusters With a Structure
The 25 phrases grouped into three to five content clusters, each with its pillar post named and its supporting phrases sorted — H2 headings inside the pillar versus standalone articles.
5 · Competitive Gaps on the Top Five
For your five biggest keyphrases: who currently ranks, what kind of content it is — enterprise guide, SaaS blog, agency post, listicle — and specifically what perspective is missing. That gap is your opening. And because the prompt demands data with no analysis paragraphs, the results come back ready to use, not ready to skim.
One honest note: this skill writes the prompt — your research tool does the digging
AEO Research generates the request, and you paste it into a deep research tool like ChatGPT deep research or Perplexity. Results come back in about 5 to 10 minutes, and then you bring them home to wherever you track keyphrases and start writing. This skill is the bridge between 'I want to write about this' and having validated phrases to write against — and it's honest about being the bridge.
Keep stacking: pairs beautifully with Transcript To Blog
AEO Research finds the validated keyphrases worth writing against — Transcript To Blog takes a raw call transcript and writes the sourced, search-ready draft that targets one.
Get Transcript To Blog →Because guessing what people search is how good posts go unread.
AEO stands for Answer Engine Optimization — getting your content cited when someone asks ChatGPT, Perplexity, or AI search a question in your topic area. That only works when you write against what people genuinely ask.
It hunts in the language people actually use
The prompt demands conversational questions — the way someone talks to an AI assistant — not stiff two-word keywords. When the question is phrased like a real person, your answer can be, too.
Validation beats intuition
Every phrase gets checked against real sources: how often it shows up in People Also Ask, how active the Reddit threads are, what Perplexity suggests as follow-ups. You write against genuine demand, not a hunch.
The scores make the order obvious
A 1-to-10 priority score built from search demand against competition means you're never staring at 25 phrases wondering where to start. The list arrives ranked.
Clusters turn phrases into a plan
Pillar posts, supporting posts, and which phrases work as H2 headings inside a bigger piece — the research comes back as a content plan with structure, not a keyword pile.
